His Highness the Aga Khan has been awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Ottawa for his service to humanity during a special Convocation ceremony on Friday, January 13th in the Desmarais Building in Canada’s capital, Ottawa. The ceremony on the 4th floor of the state of the art building took place as a severe winter storm gripped Ottawa, where its residents had so far enjoyed a mostly mild season with above avarage temperatures and below average snow fall.
