Sultankhanu Gulamali Walji receives Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal

Tuesday October 9, Calgary, AB at the Red and White Club. Mrs Sultankhanu Gulamali Walji receives Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal.

Mrs Walji had been involved in numerous activities within the Ismaili Muslim Community since arriving in Canada and particularly Calgary in 1972. Her involvement included helping new immigrants with resettlement, helping with communal meals and in the cleanup and maintenance of the community prayer halls.

In the larger community, she was an access control volunteer at the 1988 Olympic Winter Games held in Calgary and the Western Canada Summer Games in 1983.

Presently she also helps out with her seniors group who have COPD and participates in the exercise regimes and other social activities.

  1. Congrats. Sultankhanubai,you have done a lot of other little things not mentioned in the bio.Especially you made manually approximately 500 scarfves at the at the initiation of 203 Scout troop and the Ismaili Guides,a service only a few know about.
