Known as the “Festival of Sacrifice”, Eid al-Adha is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide and the latter of two Eid festivals (the other being Eid al-Fitr). The Eid celebrations are typically marked by special prayers, forgiveness and compassion, and many Muslims visit family and friends, exchange greetings and gifts, and make donations to the poor and needy.

  1. Thank you for the Eid Stamp info., I love the Artwork and the Theme on the face of the Stamp. The Eid al-Adha was on Oct 26th… Did this stamp come much after the Eid al-Adha? I have a feeling that this can be a Private Stamp, similar to Almas Jiwani stamp issued by Greek Post. Please, let me know if this is regular postal stamp then i would like to collect a few.
