Bahadur Madhani was unanimously elected Chair of the Board of Directors of YMCA Canada at the YMCA Canada’s 101st National Annual General Meeting held recently in Toronto.

“Bahadur’s dedication, honesty and respect exemplify what Canada is all about,” said Scott Haldane, President and CEO of YMCA Canada. “He is a knowledgeable and engaging leader and we are fortunate that he has agreed to serve as our Board Chair. We look forward to continuing to fulfill our mission of strengthening the foundations of our communities in Canada.”

Accepting the ceremonial gavel from outgoing Chair Marilyn Kapitany, Bahadur said, “I am honoured to assume the important position of Board Chair of YMCA Canada,”  He added, “Serving the needs of communities across Canada is something the YMCA does every day and I am proud to be a part of this important work”.
