The London based philanthropic organization released its final 25 nominees for the bi-annual World Mayor Prize to be awarded in January next year.

The foundation cut its list of 121 mayors up for consideration down to 25 Wednesday.

Mayor Naheed Nenshi is surprised to hear about the nomination.

“I just saw that! That’s nice!” Naheed Nenshi said. “I guess people can vote; so vote!”
