Al Arabiya a leading 24-hour news station in the Arab world, brings Aga Khan Museum’s inauguration news to the Arab audiences. In conversation with Amirali Alibhai, Head of Performing Arts, and Ruba Kana’an, Head of Education and Scholarly Programs and an art historian, they discuss the performing arts program at the museum and a few of the masterpieces in the collection.

The Agha Khan museum is the first Islamic museum in North America. The $300 million dollar complex is an approach by Agha Khan, the spiritual leader of Ismaili Muslims.

The museum is dedicated to presenting the artistic history of Muslim cultures. It will also be home to performing arts; Middle Eastern music will be displayed, as well as different music from different cultures that had blended together in ancient Islamic times.

The museum has over a 1000 objects from musical instruments to paintings, and their mission is to bring historic Islamic art to life in one of the most diverse and tolerant cities, Toronto.

Ya‘ALi Madad brothers!I’m an Ismaili muslim college studentin China,I would like to have a visit to the Ismaili center in Canada,is there anyone to help me get an access?I would be very grateful if any one can help me to get an Invitation letter from any university in Toronto as a visiting scholar. I really would like to have an close contact with overseas Ismaili brothers for a few month. I can effort all the expenses by myself.
