AKF USA and Giving Tuesday: Today is the Day!

Today is the day! It’s the day you can make a big impact on communities throughout Africa and Asia. On this Giving Tuesday, join with the Aga Khan Foundation to extend a helping hand and kind heart to improve the quality of life for tens of thousands of families.

AKF USA - Giving Tuesday

For the past four weeks leading up to Giving Tuesday, we have shared stories of how real people in remote and challenging places – from Afghanistan to Mali – see change in their communities. Through first-hand stories of these local heroes, you see how lasting, positive change actually makes a tremendous difference in some of the poorest areas of our planet.

With your support, we’re aiming to raise $100,000 to help these local heroes through our Giving Tuesday campaign. You are helping committed heroes like Maryum train Afghan women to run their own businesses and Simplice in Ivory Coast extend hope to farmers through microcredit loans. $100,000 can build 20 new mini-libraries, helping Burulai to inspire young kids in Central Asia through reading programs; fund over 30 grants to young social entrepreneurs in the Kyrgyz Republic, like Asel; supply 150 community emergency response teams in Afghanistan, giving Fatima the vital tools she needs to help villages prepare for disasters. You are helping them and so many others break the cycle of poverty and become self-reliant.

How can you be a part of it? Here are some ideas:

Today is the day and we need your help to grow our impact! You can help us reach our $100,000 goal for Giving Tuesday. Together, we can make a difference.
