Egypt’s President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi hails AKDN projects as he meets His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan

As Africa 2016 Forum kicks off, His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan met His Excellency President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt on Saturday, Februaury 20, 2016.

President Sisi hailed the positive role played by the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) which he considered as an example of non-governmental organizations contributing to development in the society and creating jobs. The President hailed the AKDN foundation’s efforts in Egypt, especially in the childhood development projects.

His Highness the Aga Khan said he is looking forward to boosting the foundation’s activities in various Egyptian cities, referring to the foundation’s projects in Aswan in addition to plans for financing more projects for the needy segments, especially in the health and educational sectors.

Dubbed as Africa’s biggest investment Forum of the year, His Highness the Aga Khan will deliver the Keynote Address at the Africa 2016 – Business for Africa, Egypt and the World conference on Sunday, 21st February at 9:15 am.

His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan delivers the Keynote Address at the Africa 2016 Forum

President El-Sisi with the Heads of State and Ministers participating at the Forum. Present at the forum, there are over 30 nations represented by over 80 Heads of State and Ministerial delegates in addition to 100s of  industry leaders.
