Appointed by the City of Toronto in April 2016.
Mohamed Dhanani serves as the Executive Officer of His Highness Prince Aga Khan Shia Imami Ismaili Council for Canada. As a seasoned executive and entrepreneur he has a proven track record for being a relationship builder, problem solver, leading change through team work and helping organizations stretch to achieve high goals. Most recently, Mr. Dhanani served as the Strategy Advisor to Ontario’s Deputy Premier and Minister of Energy and Infrastructure.
Previously he served as the Board Chair for the Toronto Central Local Health Integration Network (LHIN), the largest integrated health network in Canada. As an entrepreneur Mohamed owned a successful pharmacy and printing company. Prior to that he was a Management Consultant at PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
Mohamed graduated from Yale University with distinction. He is also a graduate of the Director’s College at McMaster University. He is married to Amna Dhanani. They have three young children. Mohamed also volunteers for the Flemingdon Park Food Bank.
