Poem by Bisma Baig: 10 Dec was a new day

10 Dec was a new day
In the name of Imam, that’s what we say

That day my soul started to raise
Standing up from within my body
With my arms in heavenly praise
What bought this spiritual moment

The feelings felt within myself
Which were shared to me by my soul
There was an ultimate feeling of self-giving
And surrendering of my total being

No other thoughts came to my mind
No past love came close to get bind
The love I felt was immeasurable
The love was unleashed from within myself

There the soul itself was not a mist, or a foggy image
But an array of electrical colors, formed in my earthly being
As my soul descended back, to where my body laid
A gasp of air was all it took, to make me step forth and say
“WA KUL A SHAI’IN AHSUWAINA HUFI IMAMIM MUBEEN”
